Hello, my name is Lee Smith and my passion is sports reporting. I graduated from the University of Alabama Cum Laude in May of 2013 with a B.A. in Communication and Information Sciences. My area of study is in electronic news with a sports emphasis. I love all sports, but the Alabama Crimson Tide football team holds a special place in my heart. Three of my four years as a student here, they have won national championships. Although football is my favorite sport to watch, baseball and basketball are also dear to me.

I aspire to one day be an anchor, but for now, start out as a reporter and work my way up. I love telling creative stories that perfectly capture the moment. I hope my work will leave a lasting impression upon people long after I'm gone. My work ethic is great and I love covering a variety of sports. 



My family means everything to me. My father, Mark, is my hero. I would not be the person I am today without his guidance. My mother, Vickie, is the most loving person on this planet. She would do anything for me at the drop off a hat. My big sister, Tonya, has always been there for me. My parents in shared effort, raised me to be a polite, appreciative, and hard-working young man. I owe everything to them.

Other than reporting and watching ESPN 24/7, my hobbies include: hanging with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, playing video games, and meeting new people. My favorite memory of the past four years was being able to see Alabama win the national championship in Miami over Notre Dame. I cannot wait to see where my career is headed in the future. One thing is for sure-it will be bright.
