A local team of young competitive shooters from Woodstock, Alabama turn a basement into a training ground for Junior Olympic hopefuls. Qualifying in the top 3 of their respective events, guarantees them a chance to shoot against the best sharpshooters from around the world.

Knights Nearing Perfection

It's hard to imagine a program never winning a championship, but the nightmare could finally end for a local AISA team. The Tuscaloosa Academy knights are nearing a historic 13-0 championship run while playing for the state title. They have never won a championship in football and only reached the finals once-in 1991.

Football Friday live-shot

This is my second live-shot to air. It was before the Sipsey Valley Bears hosted the American Christian Academy Patriots on October 26, 2012. A Bears win would clinch their first playoff berth ever in the school's three year history.

This piece was done by Chad Haynie and myself in the wake of the two year anniversary of the April 27th tornado.The 2011 Crimson Tide softball team won the first championship of any athletic program after the natural disaster. Their efforts on and off the field helped revitalize Tuscaloosa.

WATER SKIING SOUTHERN REGIONALS

Hundreds of contestants swarmed to Duncanville, AL (Lyman land) to show off their skills on the water. Shredding waves and breaking personal records was the norm at this event. See and hear perspectives from 2 far-away competitors, a former UA water skier, and a tournament official. The tournament was 5 days long from July, 26-30 and the winners advanced to nationals in West Palm Beach August 13-17.
